Kawasaki? or Yamaha? I had a yamaha rd350 shoved into a 3 wheeler back in 1980.

In 1977 I had this KH250 2-stroke triple that I transplanted a 400cc triple into, mild port work, Denco expansion champbers, jetted by your truely. I used to embarass any 4-stroke rider that had less than 750cc, and even some of them! Harley Sportster riders were the most fun though... stand it up on the rear wheel and ride past them in second! The stuff you do when you're young, dumb, and full of cu.... ummm.., I meant to say energy, yea, that's it, full of energy!

all that EPA stuff killed the 2 strokes bikes,,kawasaki had a 750cc version too,,,AUSTIN,,who got an engine thats reving 16,500

someone must of popped him in the ears just before it ran.... it "sounded' like 16k .... lol

i imagine the hp it made was from rpm more then anything. if at 16k, its moving twice as much (or more)air.

hell at 16K on that motor the blower is turning 32K

Today's 2 stroke motocross bikes hardly turn 13500 and there signing off - even f-1 cars will barely turn 18,000.

IDK where AUSTIN got those numbers,,,thats a lot of RPM on those F-1 cars,,,but at half a mil for one of those engines,,they better turn 18grand,,LOL

I had a Kawi KH 500 with Danco drag pipes, wiesco pistons and 750 carbs, that thing was fast. My buddy had 3 750's one ran low nines on the street. I love the sound of those triples when they are just cruising at about 5k making tons of racket.
