If you look around and a forum is missing or things look a little different it might be.

I am combining some forums and deleting some of the forums with little or no traffic.

No posts were deleted they were just combined into similar subjects

Trying to make the forums easier to navigate

Hope you like it

I noticed drag racing results were deleted and moved to drag racing.

BTW: Not to be negative, just truthful, I find the adds wedged in the middle of forum pages anoying and the rotating flashing adds at the bottom of each page distracting. It kind of subconsciously makes me think its the vendors fault similar to telemarketers. That may form an opinion not to buy from someone that annoys you. I liked the old layout better. Don't beat me up this. It's your site, just constructive criticism.

Yea Drag Racing results seemed a bit redundant since most results were posted and talked about in Drag Racing anyway. So combined them to make it easier

I understand the ads might hit you that way, but research does show that anything new to old sites that the viewer has become comfortable with will meet a certain percentage of resistance.

Problem honestly is this, unless I had the option to set each members page the way they wanted(with or without ads, forums order, etc) every move I make pleases a certain number of members as well as upsets the opposite members.

The site is always a work in progress and I am trying to see what works and what doesn't. And if things can be tweaked to improve navigation and entice new members?

The advertisers ads are their to make it easier to find them and get parts you might need.

I always want to hear your feedback good or bad, and please understand I do listen and my goal is to make this site the best for everyone I can.

But I also know pleasing every single members just isn't possible

Where'd the suspension forum go?
I moved trans related posts (shocks, torsion etc) to Transaxle

And the limit straps, how to set up the car to leave type posts were moved to Drag Racing

The rest went to misc Tech

I know it will be a little adjusting but remember you can find any of the posts by entering the "key" word in the search and it will help you find the desired post or thread

I agree 100% on that one. I don't mind them at the top or bottom of pages, but stuck inbetween posts? Seems a little excessive to me.

x2? Now I have to scan through several BOR/topic of the week threads to check on threads that I've been following reguarding suspension stuff, race results, etc.

NOt try to slam you Brian, but I don't dig the changes. I find it harder to use, not easier. To me, the Drag Race section is just a sound board for all kinds of general drag race stuff. If you want detailed technical info, go to the tech sections.

Again, I know this isn't easy, but I do appreciate all that you do!

I do appreciate the feedback and if need be I can add back another forum and move certain subjects

I understand about the ads, they are a necessary evil, but at least they are not Viagra and master card ads, their all VW related

You can quickly follow those posts you have been following by using the

at the top of the page to help if you don't already?

I did have complaints about too many forums to scan and trying something streamlined .

But like I said I can go back and adjust back the other way if need be.

Must be something overlooked.
No click on it

Still works

It is called a child board which puts it attached to the board about it

Just consolidates it a bit

I know you can't please everybody. I like having the variety of forums; if you have a question or comment, you can go to that particular section and post up.

That's what makes UAC unique (as far as VW forums); you have a variety of "areas" for people to browse, and you don't have to get bogged down in topics that don't interest you.

Personally, I'd like to see the suspension section come back as a Chassis Section, where you'd see front and rear suspension, tires, wheels, brakes, Roll-Cages/Chassis etc. being discussed.

Just my :twocents:

Your two cents matter and yes I see your point on this so I will put a suspension forum back up and will move the posts back to it.

I'd also like to see a standalone "Chassis" forum. Perhaps the Nitrous and Turbo sections could be consolidated as they are both considered "Power Adders." At least in "import-Speak"

Should suspension and chassis be combined?
