As many of you already know with the support of freinds, family, and my wallet (joke - ;D) I purchased John Reddings car that he campained and won a championship in Pro Mod. Bieng a quality top-notch car it will allow me to do what I have always wanted to do. From way back in the day the ONLY reason why I used to go to BOR in sac was to watch then Pro Turbo and racers such as Luppino, Perkins, Mcclendon, Nelson, etc. fly down the track. I seen those turn mid nine's and that is all I have wanted to do. Of course there are people now days whom have set the bar even higher (or lower depending on which end your looking at it... haha).

So, when this opportunity came up I jumped on it. It is a solid, proven car and is now my pride and joy. I dig the car, John did an awsome job with it. When I examine it as im tooling around I am in awe at what he created. I HOPE to achieve the same goal that he had at one time.

Anyways, thats my diatribe and now to what Im up to on it.

Jeff Newcomb put my motor back together for me. Im glad he did becuase he examines EVERYTHING (like a professional engine builder should). point being is I would of just put it back together and missed a few minor things like cracked wrist pin bosses on two cylinders. so what was once a 2180 is now a 2110...which is perfectly fine with me. I just want to go run, it will be a good starter motor for now.

Jeff normally builds my trannys too but this car has a Mendeola (a HUGE plus!) in it. When the time comes he will check it out too.

ok, Im a little above average in height so first order of business was to move the pedal assymbly so I could comfortably fit in it. In doing this I purchased a new Kirkey seat. This lowered me about an inch and half and back about an inch compared to the poly seat that was in there. Since im going to use a hydrolic master cylinder i put in new hydrolic pedal assymbly. i mounted it upside down and it turned out pretty trick.

Today I made a guage pod. it is .080 anodized aluminum that i had laying around at work. it turned out pretty cool i think. just need one more guage.

The motor is just sitting there for header mockup. Need to get a few more items before i begin. I decided to move the turbo back behind the driver over the front of the trans. I did this for a few reasons. first, to get weight in front of axle. second, dont want to modify the car with regards to the elimination of the scoop or rear engine cover. third, not sure what i will do in future; maybe blow-through first then efi or straight to efi. at least i have room for intercooler if wanted.

I saw the whole thing yesterday with my own two eyeballs...... Dean is doing a great job, and doing most of it himself. And don't underestimate that little 2110....... he was rolling low 10's with it last year, and it was injured. ;)

OME is good stuff. def get two meals for price of one.

should be building header this weekend.

no not yet... getting my j brothers exhaust flanges tomorrow (thanks jerry :) ) and will begin the header build. gathering stuff for wiring and will begin that this weekend too.

a few more weeks. just a few details to work out on the motor and ill be ready to rock! haha

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh no..

not running yet, track is only open aug 2 and aug 16. i have no time to get licensed etc.

it will be next year for me. i wont make vegas due to work . so making plans for phx with my buddies over the hill.

yea, ill be there.

i emailed kevin reynolds about pay for this next year but running s/c at sac and then runnning pm next year.

no reply yet. nothing like customer service!

might be p/e for me... but ieither way ill be there to get some seat time in..i just wanna have fun :)
