I've been battling my IDAs for far too long and have invested in a wideband. I can see now that there is a lean hole between the idle circuit and main circuit. My IDAs are drilled with the third progression hole. My jetting is as follows 37mm vents, 120 idle air, 60 idle fuel, F11 emulsion, 220 air correction and 160 main jets. It has been suggested that I step up to 40mm vents and F2 emulsions. When the engine was on the dyno it made a ton more power with 37mm vents than it did with 40mm vents. This was with F7 emulsion tubes which are not ideal in a VW engine.
I'm concerned that I'll loose the bottom end power if I go to the 40mm vents.
My engine is a 2276....82X94, DRD 42X37.5 heads CR is 9.6:1, Web 86B cam, and Porsche length rods(5.352") and Berg 1.45 rockers. What is your input about what I should expect if I go to the 40mm vents and F2 emulsion tubes???

I ditched my F7's and switched to F2's with very good results in my 2332 cc with Web 86C and 10:1 CR. The engine just runs so much smoother and the power is higher. I've used 40 and 42 mm OEM IDA vents and the 42's worked much better, at least for Dynojet results. This was with 44 x 37.5 044 heads. I also have the third progression hole.

F2's

I picked up my F2's from Pierside Parts (while on vacation). I believe aircooled.net usually carries them as well.
