Got all the rear suspension and brakes back on-all brake lines made and fitted as well.I have made the lower part of the panel to close in the back of the cab.I folded a 50X20mm ally hat and bolted across, just below the join to strengthen it-is really solid at the join.I bought this solenoid valve to put in the supply line to the dry sump pump-it's 12 volt and I will have it energised with the ignition switch. It's has 1" ports and I have used 3/4" ID fittings and made the supply line 3/4" all the way to the pump fitting-so should have a good supply. This a breather I made from 100X50mm ally tube and will run everthing to it.

Want to build a Drag Car version of this.
Some may prefer the off road look....circa 1946

Might have to build another one like that for a tow car-needs to be lowered with some 17 inch Fuchs
I don't know the details of this combo, but if it was a factory effort(as it it appears to be) right after the war, used to transport various vehicles from a to b around the Wolfsburg facillities,...We could call it a "Hirst shifter"...

I will agree with that...

The car on the trailer looks to have the 4 wheel drive front hub,not a normal hubcap. Is this what I am seeing?
That is possible..Also,looks like something MAY be near the area nomally reservered for a bumper... could be a roller nose...Or it could be a winch on the carrier...
I had a look through my Volkswagen Military Vehicle books of the Third Reich-and it appears the car on the trailer is a Type 87 4 wheel drive Command Car without the standard military off road tyres(which used all the Schwimmwagen mechanicals),and the ute is a modified Type 92 rear wheel drive, with the Kubelwagen suspension(basically the same stuff that ended up in the Buses) There was also a Type 98 4 wheel drive sedan, but was a Cabrio version(open roof). Where did you find the pic? I haven't seen it in any of my books.

A lot of work but little progress.I spent quite a few weeks dealing with Pat from CB sorting what was needed for the injection.Settled on their turbo/methanol ECU,cam and crank trigger to run full sequential spark and fuel, wire harness and all the sensors.Because the crank trigger needs a bracket behind the pulley to hold the probe,I have had to move that solid steel pipe with the main relief valve and make new fittings to move it all.Have ordered an Aeromotive 1400 HP fuel pump and fuel pressure reg and 40 and 100 mic filters.Need to also order some 120lb injectors, but they are readily available everywhere.I had fitted 28' by 9" slicks but there was less than 3/8" clearance on the inside at the adjusting blocks on the spring plates.Worked out that I could move the stub axles out 9mm by making a thinner new inner spacer and taking out all the shims for the calipers and the mounting bracket.I will have to make a spacer now for one CV joint each side.Plenty of room now.I have started to wire it,but will need the harness to finish it all.I am using a Type3 auto shifter and modified it today to have a lockout for top gear, will have to lift the lever now for 3rd.Because of the reverse pattern valvebody,!st is next to neutral,so have to pull back for up shifts,so can't miss 2nd and go straight into top.

Looks like you still have alot of work to do. 120 lb injectors seems small for your combo are u using 8?
No only 4- 120's were what Pat thought would work with this engine. What are your thoughts?
I thinking in the 150# range for about 500 HP
If your going with only 4 injectors and want 500+ house power you need 1600cc or better injectors dynamics (ID2000) makes a injector that seems to have excellent low rpm performance.

Wow! What a build. I like the "out-of-the-box" thinking!!!

Oh, and my buddy made the injector holders, so that makes it even better!!
Yeah, always trying something different.Your buddy's work is just awesome-wish I had bought a heap more when I got those.
