Swapped the Dragster for this, had no drivetrain, had a blown up turbo motor that I picked up on the shelve,,,had a 1915 T3 60trim,sitting here and a 2276 w/T04,, so had fun this summer, cracked some cylinders & washed the rings,,(fuel pressure issue)haven't run the T3 combo yet too:cold
only got to drive it 6 time's total this year:cry:
4th time/pass I did a [email protected]:embarrass:granny launch bonestock trans:timebomb: 1:9 60 foot :( I sure with more seat time plus a Built trans,,I will do better,and the fact I had the 1915 T04 on it, didn't spool none to quick:(
Guys ask me all the time how fast is it ??,, I tell them do u know how/what a 2 stroke 250cc dirt bike powerband hit feels like? like THAT!! but in a car!!!!:drivingskid:

We got ours from OK City. It was originally a turbo and we had a N/A engine built for it. Changed the suspension a lot, too.

I traded the Dragster for this bug, and the kid said all he knew about the car was it came from Kansas or Oklahoma? and the shop that built two bugs one was called 'Bugwiser' and this one 'Buglite'?? but who knows? this has Berg mid mount and wheelie bars adj.spring plates,, Launches & goes straight,, 5" narrowed front beam, disc front drum rear,, why did you not keep it with a turbo?

Mike if you still have my number call me and maybe I can help you get it in the ballpark so you do not crack any more cylinders. Mike McCarthy
Madmike, I really didn't make that decision. The guy who really owns the car made the call. He wanted it to be more dependable and less maintenance. I mostly turn wrenches and do the driving.
Hey Mike, lost ur # P.M it to me?
Hope all had a merry one!
Leoni,Hope he kept the turbo stuff;)
That's good , when you slapping it back on?;)
Until we feel that we've exhausted all we can get out of this engine, we'll stick with it. It has too much compression to put a turbo on it.
Ha, That will be on the 12th pass;) ,,, N/A is so boring to me anymore:happy:
Cr can always be lowered;)
Leave the CR where it is and run the turbo at a lower boost level or switch to E85 or alcohol --- The rule you have to run a low CR with boost only applies with pump gas
forgot to up-date this
Bought some new slicks,had 23" now 26"
Ordered a new header for the 2276 short rod motor,, got it,,,sent it back, was too wide,, now i get to wait 3 months:( going with a smaller turbo in the future(3 months)

Seems I can run it at the airport downstate, maybe? they have drags a cpl. time a year, but must be a 'Street car'? no slicks:eek: and must run a muffler:( good thing I have a passenger seat, headliner & full carpet in it:cool:
I've had the motors out of the bug all winter,I have 2 a 2276&1915
I slapped in the 1915 for the Lewiston Cruise this fathers day, still having fuel issues, turns out I have a 'Black'Holley pump instead of the 'Red'
swapped the spring in it for the red one and 'presto' no more 7lbs F.Pressure:eek: I couldn't get it down with the adjustment screw almost falling out of the regulator:mad:Now alls well!!
3 1/2 lbs. no fuel blowing pass the 3.00 needle&seat :spin:
none drippin out the Stacks!!! and hopefully no more cracked cylinders:cool:
