Wiring will depend a little on the type/brand you get. Some are external coil some internal. Have the thing checked/charged. The magnets only last a few years before needing a service for full amperage.

Don't you also have to have some sort of kill switch?
Its been a bit but I wanna say I had 2 wires on the post of my vertex internal when I ran one. One for the tach/procontrol and one to the kill/relay off switch.
Is it possible to use both a mag pro-control AND a tach converter at the same time? Friend of mine tried, but no success...
