We will see who makes the trip. I can count 12 real quick travel cars. I hope we see around twenty and then we see a good 10 from New Mexico and surrounding states. We will have fun regardless!
MSVWRA 2013 Season Opener Date Set!

There will be an informal gathering at the Hard Rock Casino Resort on Friday, May 3rd in the afternoon. This is a good place for everyone to hang out and maybe grab a bite to eat before the track opens at 6:00 pm for those that are planning to camp at the track. Everyone is welcome!
The track management will be setting aside 30 paved spots reserved for the MSVWRA. This area will be just behind the spectator stands and close to the staging lanes and the tech area.
So-Low VW Club is also hosting a show and shine at the track on Saturday.
This should be an outstanding event! The local crowd is really doing a great job! Come on out to Albuquerque!

I will be making the trip. Racing two cars....LOL. May need some pit help as I will be rolling down by myself.

I am not the leader...I am just the guy with the big rubber red nose....LOL. Hope everone travels well. See you guys in a few days. Weather looks awesome 79 degrees and a slight breeze for Saturday. Thats VW racing weather ...Good stuff!

We hope everyone had a good time at the 2013 High Desert VW Rumble. We had 14 cars run in the Quick VW class and 9 in the Sport VW class. The unofficial results are posted in the Event Results section of the MVWRA section of the UAC.
We had two of the local VW clubs putting on a car show with a good number of cars. There seemed to be a lot of interest in the VW cars.
I want to thank all of our sponsors for helping us out on this event.

I want to give a big THANK YOU to everyone that came out Saturday night!! We had a great time and I enjoyed every minute! I would also like to thank Monty Foster, Radonna Crowley, Wendy Lamb and everyone else that helped out keeping us organized.
I just want to add my "Thank You" to all the folks in Albuquerque for a great time. It was good people, good food, lots of laughs, and some Drag Racing too.
So Thanks for allowing me to be a part of the show. If possible I will be back next year.

That was Fun! What a treat for Albuquerque it was to have you all down here. I really enjoyed everyone's company after all the anticipation. Our track saw more VW's then ever. I saw a lot of smiles out there and the good feedback is refreshing.
The three local clubs that were represented and other participants in the show and shine are already talking about next year.

Well said by all. I want to thank everyone who participated, the folks in show and shine and all the crew and help at the facility. We have a group of folks now that do not put their needs or name first when it comes to the promotion of good old fashion fun! Every racer wants to see the car next to them making rounds and participating. Folks seem to care more about others then themselves at the event. I am so pleased that we as a group are so welcomed at these race facilities and as well folks who care!
I only see these events growing. Now by how much....that is the question? I think we will began to see car participant counts at 32 cars per event. How great would it be to have 16 Quick cars and 16 Sport cars at each event. Salt Lake 2012 had 29 entries. I am confident that the 32 will be at that event. Denver should be as big in 2013....54 entries. Grand Junction will be the target for that 40 car count as we saw 36 last year.

man!! i wish i could have made it, but duty calls. and this isn't going away anytime soon. but it killed me waiting for
