Hi guys this is my 65 race car project I'm about half way there now sorry for link but I will keep updated on here as well from today some of you may have already seen it so sorry for the old news I was posting here a while back but couldn't log on so re registered

So as from today engine plans have changed to a full out pauter engine more updates next week when I get back on with the car

ive not had much time in the past two weeks for race car building but did a bit today







had a little play at making hard line















I think it looks even better than braided hose :)

Nearly finished the flip front bracket got to make the top piece again as the last from one hole is out me not concentrating lol









I'm guessing the weight at about 750 g I will have to weigh it later

Thanks I'm enjoying the machine time I could have built the flip front bracket in a few hours from tube took nearly 12 out of billet I was slightly out on the 750g guess

How do you think those hard lines will hold up to vibration? Do you intend to place a bracket in the middle for support?
I think it will need support and I'm also going to wire lock the fittings

So this is my new brain tease lol I've got to feed two opposing turbos under the car so no or very little moving air, so I've thought about building a plenum and feeding it with 4 x 3" hoses from the side and rear windows. I'm planning on internally baffling it to feed each one this is the idea so far







Any comments would good am I wasting my time ?

Flip front mount about done












I've use 316 stainless for the hinge pin and sleeved the female part with 316 too to stop any wear on the hinge I will also do this on the door hinges

MKII door hinges from 30mm billet taken 5 hours so far




They may get lighter yet





And transmission parts arrived today £720 don't go far




Send these off the Germany tmw :)

Hinges 98% done taken about 12 hours so far












I dread to think the amount of hours spent on this car so far

bit more AN6 hardline arrived so I've finished the feeds and returns

Little bit more done had to machine the compressor housing today

Billet compressor wheel





Trial fit with boost tape





Did a bit more on the pedal box stop and go bits machined them and needed to bend them a bit so made a former from an old Russian diving cylinder I've had for years







Turned out good I think
