Ok, after two weeks of organization and initial assesment of the car, I have decided to build a car. 6 years ago I walked away from the 'scene' trying to save a marriage and family, but low and behold, I lost both. I sold the car to get married and solidify my family, didn't work out as planned. I was left with a foreclosure, divorce, and minus a few cars, but was also left with the best thing to ever come into my life, my son, Zachary. I am now divorced, have a great job, and 'full custody' of my son. After sorting my life out I have decided to build again and race. Not just PRA, but nostalgia events. I have missed all the great people in this industry and look forward to more good times. Not sure if many remember me, but if you don't, heres a quick breakdown.
I bought Doug Wagners old S/S #1 car, stripped it down and rebuilt it for turbo, with the help of Marty Staggs, Kevin at KCR, Anton "white russian" Belichev, and others, we created a great car. Won Super Comp my rookie year, and had a blast doing so. I started the next year, but personal issues conflicted with racing, so I hung it up and sold the car to Shawn of the Silver Bugget crew. So, here is the build of my car, I figure 1 1/2 years to get down the strip, but things are going faster than I expected, so who knows.

On some track surfaces, the tire will chatter and skip if the pressure is too high. I'm in agreement with the others. Lower the pressure. It will allow the tire to wind up rather than hook, skip, hook, skip.
Just for reference, I run 12 psi in the Blue Car. It's much heavier than your car Nick. It does NOT like pressure in excess of 14psi.

Also it might be a good idea to add some tensioning rods to connect the tips of the frame horns to the rear bars. Sorta like a Kafer Cup bar. It'll keep the flex and harmonics in check.
So, is anyone from my area interested in going w me to the Bakersfield event? I may meet there to pick up my motor and make a few passes. I pay for food and lodging if you crew w me. Pm me if you're interested

I will stick my neck out Nick and estimate [email protected] tyres on 10psi ...... and [email protected] wheels on 15psi ..... and look forward to seeing your figures mate . Wayne
well,. the dyno session didnt happen, the shop got 'too busy' for me.

in this downtime, I have sold my current clutch setup and have a REV6 being put together right now. Thanks to RLR for helping me with this.

I have also decided that some boost retard control is necessary and the current ignition setup I have is dated......
I am going with some new components that will help with the survival of my motor and the ability to datalog the info I need.

Well, I'm now officially Pro Turbo legal since I made weight. Car 4 scaled AMAZING. I didn't have to adjust anything. Last week I added front down bars and a parachute ( it works too! ) today I made an 18 lb plate to make weight. I have done some testing, managed a 1.44 60ft at low boost, 6.88 @87 1/8th mile letting off. Sent the trans out for inspection and will be doing a few changes before running the 1/4. I'm not sharing everything because I want to stay positive.
