need to get some rear wheels. i have wide five brakes now. would like to stay with them just purely from the aspect of saving money. i had seen some centerline convo's which looked nice but when i called center line today they said they are no longer manufactured.

so for good STOUT rim what are my options in wide 5. centerline still manufactures the same ole polished autodrags. they are actually not a bad price really looking at the other rims on the market. not sure if i want 10 inch or 12 inch yet.

ill call cms tomorrow or next week if i can remember, i know he can make me whatever i want. the only thing is, not sure what would be important when having him make a set. i know they can add bands i guess to the rim to help it out. i think they would be just a aluminum band that goes on the circumference of the rim and is welded on. that might not be a bad idea really to keep it round. also, not sure on material thickness. i know he has .190 wall but dont know if that is thick enough or too thick? same with the hub part. he has like .250 center hub and can put steel inserts in???

options?

called and spoke to mr bogart today. very nice guy. he took time to talk to me about the various wheels etc. during our conversation and describing to him what i have and am looking for, he was continuously thinking about what he could build for me.

so, in the end i will buy a pair of rear wheels from him. just need to get him some information so we can get the ball rolling. what i am getting will cost more then the center lines or what cms would charge me but i am happy to pay it as i think it will be a wheel that can handle the task.

thanks ffor the recommendation

welp, here they are. they weigh 8lbs 14 oz. "twinns" lol

the pictures really dont do them justice as far as curb appeal but in person they look real good and i am happy with them. its a 10" center, 10" wide wheel, 3.5"backspace, three piece wheel. beefy 1/2" center hub. they did a great job on them.

talked to Rich Bogart, nice guy and really helpful.
