Being built with a Joe Horvath (Revmaster Fame) Revmaster 3 litre engine!

Anyone know more about this project?

We need more dragsters back in the hobby like we had back in the 80s when you would have anywhere between 5- 15 dragsters at a given event.

I think allot of it is of coarse they need a bigger payout to make it worthwhile.

But I hear from a well known name in the industry he is working hard to come up with a "Unlimited class" for cars, altereds, and dragsters to compete and to coax them out of their hiding spots.

I say please come back to these cars, drivers and owners.

Re: New Dragster Project - Scorpion 2 by an old name

Don't think so but not sure?

Love to hear about who has a dragster just sitting in the garage.

Or is building one?

VW Paradise
Keoke DeSa - Quarterflash 2K
Wolfgang International
Dave & Daniel Folts
Dominic Luppino/Dave Perkins
Marty Staggs altered
Tom Schuh

Lets hear who's out there?

And try and get them to bring them out

Actually he is a cool guy. We have been emailing for about two years now. He sold his speedster not too long ago.
Here is the link. A very cool and well built car.

Marty did a bunch of work on the Oval.

Last time we spoke he was going to let a friend drive the dragster since he had so many cars.

I will let him know about the forum.

Here is a link to his website. He is a pretty well known photographer.

You know the sad part about it is that I suggested to the PRA about building a class in the PRA that would give these guys a place to run and compete and I was told let them build the cars first then we will see and then put a class together. Ok so after they build their cars then they have to rebuild them to fit a class.. dumb ass answer. sorry.. just my 1.5 cents I am saving the other .5 for later. So you know what the cars are there but finding other places to run because there is no place for them within the PRA. .very sad .. oh there is the other .5. :boooo:

Congrats on the cars guys. Awesome work.

I love that wing on the oval. Marty, did you fabricate that wing? I remember asking you about a wing similar to that one on Bobby Smith's old car I believe. IMO that is the way a wing should look on a VW. It just follows the body lines perfect !!

also anyone know if the front of the crank uses a "real" bearing on it in those motors, sure would help support the blower load. maybe even an external bearing support would help for high boost s/c applications...very cool
