Why have the type IV engines never really caught on in drag racing or cal look street cars?

I know their big in off road. And Jake Raby seems to do well with them.

Just curious and thinking out loud.

Well there is one that I know is trying the Type IV in a race car. I think Nicole Linkert has a Type IV in the fiberglass 356 Porsche race car.
Maybe its the cost of parts that keeps those motors out of race cars.
