vw g/d dragster

hi me and my friend have being racing a vw g/dragster in comp in Sweden and now we are going to start building a new car,the motor is a 2176cc hillborn and methanol a 5-speed g-force and 8 3/4 axel,i am no waiting for the crome-moly tubes,pictures of the old car and waiting parts

the old car was tho heavy (555kg)for the 2176 cc index (505kg) best ET 11.02,we are building the car ourselves (a pro mod builder is bending the tubes) so we can get the right old slingshot hotrod look :th_DragRacer:
That is pretty cool.

VWP had just come out with their 1st FED when I was starting my G/D build. Almost went that route.
well i haw racing and fixing vw turbocars since mid 80 so we wanted something very different and hotrod racing started to grove in Sweden so there was only wan way to go :th_DragRacer:

fixing small things wen waiting for tubes,was to day to the biggest drag race swap meet in Sweden looking fore parts,new shorter exhaust system is built, fixed new oil drain tank to fit in the back(modified Audi a8 air tank)the 12/5 is first race day :crazy:

Nice to see you in this forum and REALLY nice to see the ACVW dragster community slowly grow.
You know that I have 99% of all my stuff to my my rail on wheel again and with the original engine but an Autorotor on top?
Now, all I need is to stay put in one spot and that si my garage, then it will happen.

Wow...Pank was 300kg and 372 with me and all the security stuff.
the tubes has arrived full speed ahead

You guys are making progress very quickly. Are you going to do a modern style front axle or an old school tube axle ?

Sorry for the stupid questions, I hope you dont mind? I see the 3 shift rods, how are the gear shifts made? Does it have a reverse? And how much does it weigh?
Your build is awesome! I check your thread daily, thanks for the updates.
