Thats an interesting picture. Thats some history. Was that during the war or after during occupation?

Eric, I am not sure, but I think it was during the war. They, like many Americans soldiers thought the Kubel performed better than the Jeep, so they probably traded 3 Jeeps for the Bucket Car.

I felt this belonged here, my dad shot this one at the old Ramona Raceway early 60's... check out the guy in the silver space suit...Gotta Name?

Cool pictures Don, old guy's like you probably have lots of neat old pictures laying around :w00t:
i will take some pics of some of our stuff.... IE one of the very first issue of the SCTA newsletter that was done in pencil.... that is what became HotRod Magazine
Also, have original copy of techsheet from the 40's at el mirage and stuff
I will try and and take get some pics up of all the stuff my dad has in his room.. My grandfather did the casting on Vic Elderbrocks first manifold... lots of pics of my grandpa and wally parks and stuff back when they where young..
oh yeah my grandma dated wally parks before she married my grandpa

I remember when I was about 11 years old, washing and "Blackening" my oldest brothers slicks for his 63 split window Vette, he loaded em up and went to Ramona for a Drag Race, my other older brother got to go with him, I had to stay home..... ( I believe it was at the Old Airport in Ramona)....
I,ll never forget, he brought home a Trophy that day....

I have a few pictures I inherited when my Dad passed away in 07. I am not sure if my Dad took these or a friend of his, but they were in one of the family photo albums.
